Building off of the long-lost fuzz’s unique tone, this Deluxe version brings the concept to its peak with versatile tone shaping power.
The Deluxe Big Muff 2 takes the Big Muff 2’s mids-driven tone and classic singing sustain and adds EHX’s favorite upgrades. The tried and true VOL/TONE/SUSTAIN knobs control the overall output, EQ, and gain level of the pedal respectively. New editions include a 3-way WICKER switch, footswitchable MIDs section, and adjustable noise GATE. The WICKER switch opens up high-frequency filters for extra sizzle and clarity especially when dialing in darker, wooly tones. The parametric MIDS section includes a MIDS FREQ and LEVEL knobs to boost or cut mid frequencies with a switchable Hi/Lo Q resonance adjustment. Adding an expression pedal or CV controller via the EXP input enables real-time control over the MIDS FREQ for freaky fuzz wah effects.
The Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 features a bypass footswitch with Latching/Momentary Action. Click the footswitch for normal latching functionality or press and hold the footswitch for a momentary burst of fuzz.
