PRS Guitars has announced a Limited Edition McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh model; only 200 pieces will be available worldwide.

"I don't like new guitars, but out of the box this is absolutely perfect. All the stuff on a new guitar that I always have to try to fix, is already done here. Out of the box. Thank you, Paul." – Joe Walsh

The PRS McCarty family of guitars is born from passion and precision: built passionately to embody vintage soul and appointments while utilizing the precision of PRS's modern manufacturing techniques to make reliable, playable, and musical instruments. Featuring a bound, 22-fret, 24.594" scale length Pattern Vintage neck and a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, the McCarty 594 Singlecut model has been meticulously spec'd. This Joe Walsh Limited Edition builds on these specifications, adding a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with stainless steel frets to deliver incredible playability and soulful, vintage tone. Additional personalized appointments include Paul Reed Smith's handwritten signature on the front of the headstock, and Joe Walsh's signature on the backplate of each guitar.

"Joe's endorsement of the McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition means the world to me. We work very hard to keep pushing the guitar-making craft forward without losing sight of its rich history. The McCarty models have always embodied that balance, and to have a player like Joe Walsh say we've nailed it is heartwarming," said Paul Reed Smith.

The McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition features PRS 58/15 LT+ pickups, which offer exceptional clarity, focused midrange, and vintage character. Offering both rich, authentic humbucking tones and nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the McCarty Singlecut 594 seamlessly masters both sonic territories thanks to these pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. This electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and delivers the comfort and joy of a quality vintage guitar.

Keith Urban’s first instrument was a ukulele at age 4. When he started learning guitar two years later, he complained that it made his fingers hurt. Eventually, he came around. As did the world.

Throughout his over-30-year career, Keith Urban has been known more as a songwriter than a guitarist. Here, he shares about his new release, High, and sheds light on all that went into the path that led him to becoming one of today’s most celebrated country artists.

There are superstars of country and rock, chart-toppers, and guitar heroes. Then there’s Keith Urban. His two dozen No. 1 singles and boatloads of awards may not eclipse George Strait or Garth Brooks, but he’s steadily transcending the notion of what it means to be a country star.
