Downloadable Soundz is a web site where guitarists can preview backing and drum tracks for jam sessions, practice or even recording purposes. The drumming and pre-recorded packages suit players according to sound and genre. Also, Drum Masters is a software that tries to capture the infamous drummers through the history of rock 'n' roll including, Peter Gabriel, John Bonham, Steely Dan and those Motown greats. In short, Sonic Reality's motto is "Sample Everything," as they strive to create high quality loops for nearly every genre of music and playable sounds for every instrument category from drums to percussion, guitar, bass, keyboards, synths, orchestral, vocal and exotic instruments from all over the world.

This reader solicited the help of his friend, luthier Dale Nielsen, to design the perfect guitar as a 40th-birthday gift to himself.

This is really about a guy in northern Minnesota named Dale Nielsen, who I met when I moved up there in 2008 and needed somebody to reglue the bridge on my beloved first guitar (a 1992 Charvel 625c, plywood special). Dale is a luthier in his spare time—a Fender certified, maker of jazz boxes.
