Ahead of North Carolina metal vets Corrosion of Conformity’s show at Nashville’s Cannery Hall, PG’s Chris Kies hung out with guitarists Pepper Keenan and Woody Weatherman, and bassist Bobby Landgraff, who gave us a walkthrough of their rigs for this new Rundown. Brought to you by D’Addario.
Double Agent

Gibson’s Jim DeCola wound the pickups himself in Keenan’s 1961 Gibson SG, which features a black finish on top and cherry on its back. His guitars take .011–.052-gauge strings, and get knocked around with heavy-duty 3mm picks.
Mighty Mini

This mini-humbucker-equipped Les Paul was also facilitated by DeCola. Keenan was hooked at first sight. The pickups are courtesy of Arcane Inc.
Citrus Style

Keenan keeps it British on the amp front with an Orange OR60 and Thunderverb 50.
Pepper Keenan’s Pedalboard

Keenan’s signal hits an Ernie Ball VP JR pedal, followed by a Walrus Canvas Tuner, Ibanez TS-9, Eventide Tricerachorus, MXR Reverb, Way Huge Supa-Puss, MXR Phase 90, and MXR Carbon Copy Mini, plus a custom Dunlop wah pedal for solo boosts, and a Dunlop Rotovibe. A Switcherelli VIII Channel FX Switching System helps him navigate the lineup.
A SoloDallas The Schaffer Replica, which lives next to his Orange amps, also juices the signal.
Weather the Storm

This ESP SG-style is Weatherman’s long-time number-one, thanks to its light weight and reliability. It’s stocked with a Seymour Duncan Invader in the bridge and a Duncan Pearl Gates in the neck. He strings it with Dunlop strings (.011–.052), and uses Dunlop .88mm picks.
All the Right ENGLs
Weatherman discovered these ENGL Fireball 100 amplifiers while working on the band’s new record, Good God / Baad Man, and he’s stuck to them since. They blast through matching ENGL cabinets.
Log Jam

This bass, custom made by Landgraff’s friend Paul Crow, features a Jazz-style body and a P-bass-style neck, and it’s been affectionately nicknamed “the log.” It’s got Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder pickups.
Mike & Eich

Landgraff was turned onto these Eich T-1000 amps after touring with Pantera. They’re paired with Mesa/Boogie 8x10 cabinets.
Bobby Landgraff’s Pedalboard

Landgraff runs a Peterson StroboStomp HD, Dunlop Justin Chancellor Cry Baby wah, MXR Bass Envelope Filter, and three Origin Effects boxes: a Cali76, DCX Bass, and BassRIG Super Vintage.
