Bad Things’ Anthony Sanudo
For most of the Bad Things’ set, rhythm guitarist Anthony Sanudo played his main axe—a Rock N’ Roll Relics Jazz-90 with D. Allen P-90s. His Gator Gig-Box pedalboard includes a Boss TU-2 Tuner, Xotic Effects RC Booster, Boss DD-6 delay, Boss DM-3 delay, Keeley Java Boost, and a Strymon Flint, all of which feed a 5881-powered Friedman Dirty Shirley head driving a matching 2x12 cab.
Eric Church Band's Lee Hendricks
Hendricks alternated between 4-and 5-string Sadowsky basses during the Eric Church Band's Lolla set. Here he's shown with the 5-string during "How 'Bout You." He eschews effects and sends his signal to both an Avalon U5 DI and a Mesa/Boogie Big Block 750 head powering an Ampeg 8x10 cabinet.
Deap Vally's Lindsey Troy
The fiery guitarist/vocalist for L.A.'s fuzzed-out blues-rock duo relies on Fender Mustang guitars into Fender Bassman and Deluxe amps running in tandem. As for pedals, she keeps things pretty simple-it's just an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff and a DeltaLab DD1 Delay.
Local Natives' Nik Ewing
Bassist Nik Ewing of the Local Natives thumps out the low end with his go-to Fender Deluxe P Bass Special, which features a slimmer, faster Jazz neck and a Precision body loaded with Vintage Noiseless pickups-a P and a Jazz in the bridge-feeding an active circuit. He plugs it into a 300-watt Fender Super Bassman head and matching 8x10 cab.
Local Natives' Ryan Hahn
Ryan Hahn primarily holds down keyboard and mandolin duties for the Local Natives, but sometimes he helps out with guitar, too. Here he plays a Gretsch G5422TDC Electromatic hollowbody driving two Fender Twin Reverbs by way of Empress, Boss, Electro-Harmonix, and Fulltone stompboxes.
The National's Aaron Dessner
Aaron Dessner does double duty as the Naitonal's primary keyboardist and as co-guitarist with brother Bryce. Here he takes a solo at the end of "I Should Live in Salt" on Bryce's custom Gibson Firebird, which has a P-90 in the bridge and two mini humbuckers. Aaron also prefers Fender Super Reverb or Twin Reverb reissues because of how well they work with his many stompboxes.
