Goodsell Dickiebyrd Series
Goodsell Amps debuted their new Dickiebyrd series at the 2012 New York Amp Show. The flagship Thunderball is inspired by the Supro Thunderbolt but can run any power tube or rectifier. It goes for $999.

Firebirds came stock with a solid G-logo tailpiece, although Bigsby vibratos were often added.

The authorā€™s PX-6131 model is an example of vintage-guitar evolution that offers nostalgic appeal in the modern worldā€”and echoes of AC/DCā€™s Malcolm Young.

An old catchphrase among vintage dealers used to run: ā€œAll Gretsches are transition models.ā€ While their near-constant evolution was considered confusing, today their development history is better understood. This guitar however is a true transition model, built just as the Jet line was undergoing major changes in late 1961.
