"Robert got this 50-watt Marshall JCM 800 from a friend in bad shape and barely working. After fixing the sound, but leaving the aesthetics, he proceeded to use it with his trio, Unkle Groove. ""After a few weeks, I thought that this amazing sounding amp needed a little more TLC,"" Robert explained. He cut strips out of old Spiderman comics, made a new faceplate, and wrote the settings on with Sharpie to complete the comic book feel. ""I've been gigging with it regularly since a few years and have never had any problem with it,"" he says. ""Proof that you don't need to spend thousands on a boutique amp to get your sound and be different."""
