Breedlove Launches Artista Pro Series

The Organic Pro Collection of guitars includes four different series, all designed to offer sustainability and accessibility in a solid tonewood guitar for the professional musician at an accessible price.

Breedlove Guitars is pleased to announce the new Organic ProArtista Pro Series from the Organic Pro Collection. The Organic Pro Collection of guitars includes four different series, all designed to offer sustainability and accessibility in a solid tonewood guitar for the professional musician at an accessible price. The Artista Pro Series, which boasts three models, stands out in the collection with its custom design, exotic Oregonmyrtlewood, and accessible luxury.

The first thing most people notice about the Organic Pro Artista Pro Series guitars is the striking burnt amber burst finish that extends beyond the usual confines of the soundboard and continues up the back of the neck. All solid myrtlewood back and sides deliver high energy with extraordinary tonal balance. To further boost that sound, we chose a European maple neck, which is denser than mahogany, and an Ovangkol fretboard with a pinless Delta bridge.

Breedlove’s revolutionary, brand-new Cascade Bracing brings Custom Shop quality sound to every Breedlove guitar, and for these guitars, Breedlove used a European spruce top for responsive, powerful projection. Each guitar includes brass inlays, Fishman Flex Plus-TElectronics, and a travel-ready hardshell case.

The Organic Pro Artista Pro Series includes three guitar models:

Artista Pro Concerto Burnt Amber CE European-Myrtlewood large format: $1299 MAP

Artista Pro Concert Burnt Amber CE European-Myrtlewood: $1249 MAP

Artista Pro Concertina Burnt Amber CE European-Myrtlewood small body format: $1249 MAP

The 6-string wielding songwriter has often gotten flack for reverberating his classic band’s sound in his solo work. But as time, and his latest, tells, that’s not only a strength, but what both he and loyal listeners want.

The guitarist, singer, and songwriter Jerry Cantrell, who is best known for helming Alice in Chains, one of the most influential bands in hard-rock history, is an affable, courteous conversationalist. He’ll apologize, for instance, when he’s been on a PR mission all afternoon and needs to eat something. “I’m sorry. I’m starving. I’m going to make a BLT while we finish this interview,” he says on a recent Zoom call.

“That’s bacon frying, by the way,” he adds, in case his interviewer was wondering about the sizzling sound in the background.
