Jackson expands its bass offerings with the all-new PRO SERIES SPECTRA BASS, the redesigned X SERIES CONCERT BASS CBXNT DX IV and new X SERIES SPECTRA BASS additions.
The JACKSON PRO SERIES SPECTRA BASS 4-and-5-string models are finely crafted instruments with the very essence right there in the name—a bass for professionals. A bold bass that's more than just a cut above the others; a bass designed to deliver the finest to the demanding and adventurous pro player. The finest in style, tone, comfort and playability.
The offset Spectra body style was innovatively designed with the professional musician in mind, featuring a larger upper horn that evenly distributes weight throughout the instrument for perfect balance and playing comfort. The through-body five-piece maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple neck with graphite reinforcement ensures ultimate stability and formidable sustain, while the speed neck contour and 12"-16" compound radius caramelized jatoba fingerboard with 24 frets and oval dark pearl inlays offer superior playability.
These low-end machines provide a full-sonic spectrum for even the most versatile and progressive bassists. Featuring alnico V magnets, the Nordstrand single-coil soapbar bridge and neck pickups deliver an all-around pulverizing and striking sound with brighter, cleaner and punchier characteristics. Wide-ranging tonal command comes from a three-band active EQ, two-way toggle switch to bypass or engage active circuit for the 3-band EQ, blend control and volume control. The two-way toggle switch eliminates the risk of losing sound due to a dead battery by bypassing the active circuit and making it easy to regain sound from the bass without the use of battery power. An additional three-way toggle switch dials in a specific mid-frequency range for even more pinpoint tonal control.
All Pro Spectra Bass models also feature a Jackson Single-String hardtail bridge that enhances individual note attack and improves sustain.
The 4-string, 34"-scale PRO SERIES SPECTRA BASS SBP IV features a unique multi-laminate poplar burl/walnut/maple/walnut/mahogany body wrapped in sophisticated Caribbean Blue or Transparent Black Burst finishes, complete with a unique 2x2 color matched headstock with an understated "J" logo. The Transparent Black finish features gold hardware, while the Caribbean Blue comes with chrome hardware.
The PRO SERIES SPECTRA BASS SBP V features a unique multi-laminate poplar burl/walnut/maple/walnut/mahogany body wrapped in an elegant Transparent Cherry Burst finish with gold hardware, while the PRO SERIES SPECTRA BASS SBA V features a unique multi-laminate flatsawn ash/walnut/maple/walnut/mahogany body wrapped in a magnificent stage-stealing Blue Burst finish with black hardware. Both 5-string models feature a 35" scale length and unique 3x2 color matched headstock with an understated "J" logo.
Jackson® Pro Series Spectra Bass
With modern style, flexible tone and incomparable value, the JACKSON X SERIES SPECTRA BASS models take the adventurous player on a bold bass odyssey.
Jackson is also expanding this lineup with the X SERIES SPECTRA BASS SBXQ IV in Amber Blue Burst, X SERIES SPECTRA BASS SBXQ V in Transparent Black Burst, X SERIES SPECTRA BASS SBXP IV in Desert Sand and X SERIES SPECTRA BASS SBXP V in Transparent Purple Burst.
All models feature a poplar body with larger upper horn to evenly distributes weight throughout the instrument for perfect balance and playing comfort. The SBXQ IV and SBXQ V are capped with a rippling quilt maple top, while the SBXP IV and SBXP V sport a distinct poplar burl top.
The graphite-reinforced through-body maple neck with scarf joint creates formidable sustain, with a speed neck contour, 12"-16" compound radius bound laurel fingerboard and 24 frets for superior playability.
Dual passive medium-output humbucking pickups create a dynamic foundation with punch, power and note articulation. These X Series Spectra Bass models also feature a two-way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, 3-band active EQ, blend control and volume control with push/pull selector to bypass or engage active circuit for the 3-band EQ.
These basses also have a HiMass hardtail bridge for enhanced sustain and improved attack, unique color matched 2x2 or 3x2 headstock with understated "J" logo and black hardware.
The reimagined JACKSON X SERIES CONCERT BASS CBXNT DX IV is a highly versatile bass designed for one express purpose—bringing the thunder. Upgraded electronics, classically brutal style and fast, efficient playability make this entry into the lineup a fundamental force to be reckoned with. Perfect for rock or metal—or other styles that demand low, punchy bass—this instrument is an unbelievable value.
This 34"-scale bass pairs a poplar body with a graphite-reinforced neck-through-body design that generates formidable sustain, while the speed maple neck contour, 12"-16" compound radius bound laurel fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets make for lightning-fast playability.
The heart of this four-string beast is a Jackson J-style bridge pickup and Jackson P-style neck pickup, mated to an active 3-band EQ circuit for adding punch, cut, rumble or grunt to your sound. A brand-new stylish chrome Jackson Bass Bacher IV string-through-body hardtail bridge enhances note attack and sustain without altering your carefully crafted tone while the sealed die-cast tuning machines keep the strings in tune, no matter how hard you dig into them.
The X SERIES CONCERT BASS CBXNT DX IV ups the ante in the style realm with all-new vivid Absynthe Frost, Gloss Black or Rocket Red finishes, each featuring a parchment pickguard, white binding, pearloid sharkfin inlays, chrome hardware including the bridge pickup cover, black skirt-style control knobs and Jackson pointed 4-in-line black headstock.
