Planet Waves Launches Beatles Straps and Picks

Planet Waves'' new line includes 8 straps and 3 pick sets

Farmingdale, NY (June 3, 2009) - Planet Waves has announced a new line of Beatles licensed straps and picks. There are eight different straps, each representing a different era of the band, and three sets of picks.

The straps are a pleather-like vinyl material to accommodate the Beatles' requirement of vegan-friendly products. Seven of the straps represent a specific era or album: Meet the Beatles, Hard Days Night, Help, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, Yellow Submarine and Abbey Road. The final strap, Anthology, is a patchwork of photos and artwork of the band throughout their career. The straps come in standard 52" length.

There are three separate pick sets as well. Meet the Beatles Pick Collection features picks with each band member's face, along with one standard Beatles-logo black pick. The Revolver Pick Collection features picks with each band member's Revolver-drawn picture on white. Finally, the Beatles Albums Pick Collection features picks with album cover artwork for Rubber Soul, Abbey Road, Sgt. Peppers, Yellow Sumbarine, along with an Apple Records logo pick.

In a press conference this morning, the company confirmed that they are working on other Beatles licensed products, including a John Lennon collection and limited-edition pieces. The current strap collection is shipping now, with picks shipping soon.
