Washburn Guitars Introduces the J600 Vintage Jazz Box

Chicago, IL (February 11, 2011) -- Washburn Guitars introduces a new Vintage Jazz box, the J600. Although part of the Jazz Series, this archtop hollowbody’s feature set is designed to work for jazz, blues, and even rock.

The J600’s vintage finish is enhanced by its stunning spruce top, flame maple back and sides, bound f-holes and Venetian cutaway which deliver full bodied sound with powerful mids. This guitar is further enhanced by its maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, ebony tailpiece, pickguard and bridge and offset by gold hardware including Grover tuners.

The J600 comes with a premium hardshell case, will retail for $1247.90 and will be available in mid-2011.

Fender Player Plus Meteora HH


After many decades of sticking with flagship body shapes, Fender spent the last several years getting more playful via their Parallel Universe collection. The Meteora, however, is one of the more significant departures from those vintage profiles. The offset, more-angular profile was created by Fender designer Josh Hurst and first saw light of day as part of the Parallel Universe Collection in 2018. Since then, it has headed in both upscale and affordable directions within the Fender lineup—reaching the heights of master-built Custom Shop quality in the hands of Ron Thorn, and now in this much more egalitarian guise as the Player Plus Meteora HH.
