Keeley Electronics Unveils the DynaTrem

A neo-vintage voiced tremolo with two dynamic modes of operation.

Edmond, OK (May 4, 2015) -- Keeley Electronics is set to release the DynaTrem, a brand new type of tremolo. It’s not often that a unique sound or creative tool comes along, but that is exactly what Keeley aimed for with the new DynaTrem dynamic tremolo. The Keeley team has created a neo-vintage voiced tremolo that has two dynamic modes of operation. No longer are guitar players stuck with setting a fixed rate or depth, they now have the ability to control the pedal with just their playing style. Dynamic Depth is an input sensitive mode that adjusts the depth or how deep the volume changes based on playing strength or volume. As the note decays the tremolo’s volume oscillation relaxes to a steady output. Dynamic Rate is really exiting in that you can get the tremolo speed very fast by just playing hard. Settle in with a softer touch and the tremolo winds down. This allows the player to be creative and expressive in ways that were not possible before in a compact effect. Both Dynamic Rate & Depth Modes offer a Shape Control that lets you select one of four waveforms: Ramp Up, Sine Wave, Ramp Down, and Square Wave. Last but not least is a Harmonic Tremolo mode with Reverb. This mode borrows heavily from sounds heard on some vintage Brownface Fender amps. The modulation filter design that creates a phase or vibe type of sound as different parts of the signal are run through complimentary filters. Add to that tone a spring reverb ambience and you have an instant classic. All three modes of operation feature noise reduction techniques to ensure the cleanest possible tremolo sounds without unwanted hiss. Lastly we crafted a volume control to make up for perceived volume drops with tremolo circuits, allowing you full creative control! The team at Keeley has carefully crafted a tone that is both vintage and modern. It is designed to inspire and help artists create music in ways that was not possible before.

Like all of Keeley Electronics’ designs, the DynaTrem is hand-built in the USA, by engineers, programmers, music freaks, and guitar players. It includes the trademark Keeley blue LED, true bypass switching, and features a 2-year limited lifetime warranty with world-class Keeley customer support.

The Keeley Electronics DynaTrem Dynamic Tremolo goes is on sale Friday May 8th, 2015 for $199.
