Tritonlab Unveils the Equinox

A tube preamp emulator that uses JFET technology and a massive amount of headroom that's designed for bassists.

Tallinn, Estonia (May 29, 2019) -- Tritonlab company has released a new bass preamp/overdrive pedal, the Equinox.

This is a tube preamp emulator built using JFET technology. This solution offers a warm tube sound with soft clipping and low noise level.

The external supply voltage of 9V is converted to an operating voltage inside the pedal to 33V. This has made it possible to achieve good dynamics (headroom).

The pedal can be used in the following modes:

  • Preamp - with low gain level
  • Overdrive - with a large gain level

The 3-band EQ with a parametric middle offers ample opportunities for adjusting the sound. There are also additional filters for frequency correction - these are notch knob (сuts 400 Hz frequency) and Lo Shift toggle switch (determines the level of the low-frequency input).

Features:

  • Die-cast aluminum cases offer unprecedented durability
  • True bypass on/off switch
  • 9-volt external power supply and standard DC input

The Equinox pedal carry street prices of €130. They’re can be purchased directly from the Tritonlab online store at www.triton-lab.com
