Non-wood guitars are reaching new levels of boutique quality with builders like Composite Acoustics. The durability and low-maintenance of carbon fiber makes for a scratch resistant, tough guitar that won't go out of tune as the weather changes. However, these guitars are built with acoustics in mind - they sound terrific.
