The PitchGrinder from Dwarfcraft is an 8 step sequenced pitch shifter, with plenty of bells an whistles for the forward thinking musician.

Eau Claire, WI (November 5, 2012) – Dwarfcraft Devices has unveiled the final details on their long-awaited PitchGrinder pedal. Dwarfcraft said in an email accompanying the press release, "This pedal is our first collaborative build, and our first digital pedal. We have been working on it for over 18 months, so it feels so good to finally be able to share it with everyone." Here's the official release:

The PitchGrinder from Dwarfcraft is an 8 step sequenced pitch shifter, with plenty of bells an whistles for the forward thinking musician. This one-of-a-kind effect also massages your retro-bone with 8 bit processing, for bleeping computer fun.

• Sequencer Control – The onboard sequencer will move through 1 to 8 of the pitch shifting steps on the face of the unit, allowing you to create arpeggios or melodies.
• Tap Tempo – You're always in the moment! Control your sequencer speed, or freeze it to stay in your current stage.
• Glide – Your pitch can glide between stages, or snap from one to the other.
• Octave Spread – Shift your input signal from -1 octave to +2.
• Signal digitally crushed to 8 punishing bits!

The public has already gotten a taste, via our hugely successful Kickstarter campaign and tour box, and they are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the PitchGrinder. Prototype units are already in use in cutting edge recording studios, including Bon Iver's “April Base” in Fall Creek, WI, and turning heads on psych-rockers The Ronald Raygun's latest release. The PitchGrinder will retail for $350.
