"Fender opens their free public Visitor Center to the public on September 19, 2011. The new facility pays tribute to the company's rich history in both the instruments they've produced and the music that's been made with them. The Visitor Center is located in Corona, California adjacent to the company's USA manufacturing facility and the Fender, Gretsch, Jackson, and Charvel Custom Shops. In conjunction with the Visitor Center opening, Fender is opening their USA facility and Fender Custom Shop for free public tours that take place Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m."

Compared to the dynamic germanium Fuzz Face, silicon versions sometimes come off as brutish. And even though they can be sonorously vicious, if dirty-to-clean range and sensitivity to guitar volume attenuation are top priorities, germanium is probably the way to go. The McGregor Classic Fuzz, however, offers ample reminders about the many ways silicon Fuzz Faces can be beastly, sensitive, and sound supreme.
