"The Navarre flattop was introduced in 1931 as a Spanish/Hawaiian instrument. The 1936 model here features a solid, spruce top in an English Brown finish with ladder bracing, mahogany back and sides, and a 20-fret mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Though stock Navarre bridges had staggered, bridge-pin holes, this version has them straight across."
