PG's Shawn Hammond is On Location at the 2010 NY Amp Show where he visits the Vox Amplifiers room. In this segment, we get a taste of Vox's AC15 Custom combo.
The 15 watt AC15C1 has 2-EL84/6BQ5 power tubes & 2-12AX7/ECC83 preamp tubes. The cabinet is loaded with 12" 16 ohm Celestion G12M Greenback speaker.
Equipped with a number of modern features and conveniences the new AC15 Custom offers more control and versatility with features like master volume, global reverb and tremolo. Also on the top panel are bass and trebles controls along with a single guitar input.
At look at the rear panel will reveal a pair of output jacks for use with external speaker cabinets if desired. When connecting speakers, an impedance selector switch offers 8 or 16 ohm output options. A dedicated jack for use with the supplied VF002 VOX footswitch is also provided. With this so you can turn the Reverb and Tremolo on and off.
All components have been designed, manufactured or selected so that the performance and sound of the AC15 Custom is second to none.

Zach loves his Sovtek Mig 60 head, which he plays through a cab he built himself at a pipe-organ shop in Denver. Every glue joint is lined with thin leather for maximum air tightness, and it’s stocked with Celestion G12M Greenback speakers.
