Eric’s longtime No. 1 used to be an early ’60s Jazzmaster (he felt it was a bit too bright through a Fender amp), but replacing it now is this ’60s non-reverse Gibson Firebird that is favored because of its meaty mini-humbucker in the bridge position. All his guitars are strung up with D’Addario NYXL .010–.046 strings.
