Leona Amplification Introduces the Sugar & Spice Overdrive

Leona Amplification Introduces the Sugar & Spice Overdrive

The pedal uses stacked op-amps in order to achieve excellent touch sensitivity and amp-like response.

Leesburg, VA (June 2, 2016) -- Leona Amplification presents a cool new flavor with a remarkably musical and dynamic overdrive pedal called Sugar & Spice. What makes Sugar & Spice unique in comparison with other light-to-medium overdrive pedals is use of stacked opamps in order to achieve excellent touch sensitivity and amp-like response. The midrange voicing switch gives you the choice between flat and accented mid frequencies. This pedal has a wide range of gain while still remaining musical. Tones available on tap go from a light bluesy drive up to a searing rock lead. Sugar & Spice Overdrive is a stand out pedal for blues, rock or fusion styles of music. It performs great both with single-coils or humbuckers.

A reed instrument? Many effects makers build from this philosophical foundation. The Latvian company Gamechanger often seems to revel in it—an attitude that’s manifest in the company’s Auto Series pedals, which includes the Auto Reverb.
