Knaggs Guitars Unveils Hollowbody Models

Each model is available with various pickup configurations and either a hardtail or a Knaggs-designed Hinge tremolo.

Greensboro, MD (November 30, 2015) -- Based on their successful Choptank and Severn solid body models, Knaggs Guitars announced the addition of Hollowbody versions for 2016 and beyond. Pickup configurations include SSS, HSS, HSH and HH versions and will be available with hard tail or Knaggs-designed Hinge Tremolo, driving increased string vibration into the center of the body thus creating additional sustain and response.

Joe Knaggs said: “The combination of semi hollow chambers and our bridge design is creating a very unique response and tone development. The sound is warm yet very driven. These guitars produce sustain I have not heard in semi hollow instruments and their weight is very nice as well”. Both Choptank and Severn Hollowbody instruments will be introduced at the upcoming NAMM Show in Anaheim, Cal. (Booth #1797) in a variety of transparent and opaque colors as well as Knaggs’ unique single and double purfling and are available in all 3 Tiers.

Joe Knaggs and a small dedicated team of skilled guitar makers have been carving a niche for themselves in the World of high-end American made guitars in just a few short years. The company recently celebrated its 5th Anniversary.
