Edmond, OK (January 19, 2016) -- Keeley Electronics today announced the new 2016 Tone Workstation. The Tone Workstation is based on four of Keeley’s effect pedals. The Compressor, the Katana Boost, and the 1962 and Red Dirt overdrive boxes. These effects form a versatile three-channel effect box that delivers a wide range of core tones.
The Tone Workstation is the first of four “Workstation” releases for the 2016 Winter NAMM show. Chief Engineer Robert Keeley stated, “The design combines many of our most popular tube amplifier tones giving players a huge range of gain stages in a single box format”. Starting with the classic Keeley Compressor, players can build a thick tone with sustain. The attack and release are set for either humbuckers or single coils. The blend control allows for a Manhattan-style compression, keeping the sound lively and crisp as you blend in your natural guitar tone. Next up is the 1962/Katana Boost section. This stage is for a flat and even response and British amp-style overdrive that is full and even. If players decide for a clean tone, they just flick the switch for a clean boost instead. Last in the chain is the Red Dirt overdrive. This stage is a smooth and saturated mid-range boost channel featuring our JFET front end. This circuit captures every nuance of your guitar's tone and delivers a high gain, smooth lead tone. The Keeley Electronics Tone Workstation will be on display in Anaheim, California January 21st-24th at the NAMM show. Visit Keeley in Hall C at Booth 4596. All Keeley Workstations start shipping February 28th and the street price is $299. Visit www.rkfx.com for more information about the full lineup of award-winning Keeley Electronics effects.
