J. Rockett Audio Designs Introduces the Dude

A take on the legendary Dumble Overdrive Special.

Nashville, TN (January 29, 2016) -- J. Rockett Audio Designs has announced the third product release of the long awaited Tour Series line. The Tour Series is comprised of all new products designed with the influence of a host of top Nashville and LA touring artists to address their needs on the road.

The collaboration continues with the release of the J. Rockett Audio Designs Dude OD/Boost.

The Dude is J.Rockett Audio Design’s take on the legendary Dumble Overdrive Special. Whereas many Dumble style pedals emphasize the Robben Ford and Larry Carlton style tones, the Dude can act as a clean boost, produce classic Dumble sounds, and churn out smooth, high gain tones. Experiment with the settings and be careful with the output…the Dude is loud!

Features:

  • 4 controls: Level, Ratio, Treble, and Deep
  • I/O jacks at the head of the pedal
  • 9V DC operation with standard – tip and + sleeve
  • Approximately 4” x 2.30” in size
  • True bypass switching

In contrast to most overdrive pedals the Dude uses a mix of dirty and clean signals via the Ratio knob to create a very amp like sound and feel.

The Dude recreates a very “signature” tone extremely accurately and more importantly captures the true feel of a Dumble Overdrive Special. The Dude OD/Boost carries a $199.00 street price.
