Venice, Italy (February 26, 2018) -- GLB Sound is pleased to announce the latest addition to the GiG series of amplifiers, the GIG10 Manhattan. Designed to meet the needs of the most demanding jazz guitarists, the GIG series from GLB Sound combines tube-based amplification of the highest audio quality with aesthetically beautiful, luthier-built, handcrafted tonewood cabinets.

The GIG10 Manhattan’s warm, natural, almost acoustic, tonal character draws on the heritage of GLB’s acclaimed GIG50, a boutique tube amplifier designed specifically to amplify archtop guitars fitted with magnetic pickups. The GIG10 Manhattan's tube preamp is a traditional sounding design optimized for maximum clarity, detail, articulation, and headroom. A state-of-the-art Bang & Olufsen IcePower PWM amplifier powers its output stage to deliver a similar playing experience to a 70-watt all-tube design.

The compact cabinet of the GIG10 Manhattan is handmade in Italian Spruce, the tonewood of choice for the soundboards of many of the most prestigious archtop guitars. This superbly-responsive enclosure allows the GIG10’s 10" Jensen Tornado Neodymium loudspeaker to deliver extended lows, precise mids and clear warm highs.

The GLB Sound GIG10 Manhattan is a super-lightweight, compact and portable 1x10 combo amplifier that produces a huge tone that defies the limits of its physical size. A brilliant solution for all home, studio, working and touring musicians, the GIG10 is a surprisingly-affordable boutique amplifier.

GLB Sound GIG10 Manhattan highlights include:

  • Hand-built AAA spruce tonewood cabinet
  • Hybrid electronics (tube preamp and Class-D power stage)
  • Classic RCA-designed tone stack
  • Weight: 8kg/17.5lb WxHxD: 35x225x37 cm / 13.8x9.8x14.5 ins
