The GIG10 Manhattan’s warm, natural, almost acoustic, tonal character draws on the heritage of GLB’s acclaimed GIG50, a boutique tube amplifier designed specifically to amplify archtop guitars fitted with magnetic pickups. A state-of-the-art Bang & Olufsen IcePower PWM amplifier powers its output stage to deliver a similar playing experience to a 70-watt all-tube design.
The compact cabinet of the GIG10 Manhattan is handmade in Italian Spruce, the tonewood of choice for the soundboards of many of the most prestigious archtop guitars. This superbly-responsive enclosure allows the GIG10’s 10" Jensen Tornado Neodymium loudspeaker to deliver extended lows, precise mids and clear warm highs.
