Norwich, CT (March 13, 2012) -- The National Music Workshop is proud to announce the 2012 Master Artist Series. Four world-renowned Master Artists will spend a week in residence teaching students new skills, techniques, and original material. The 2012 Artists include Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Robben Ford, and John Scofield. These intimate and exclusive workshops offer students the opportunity to study, rehearse and perform under the guidance of these world-renowned musicians.

Daily activities will include master classes, rhythm rehearsals, jam sessions, and performances. Selected workshops will include an original composition written by the artist especially for that event’s students. The students will rehearse and perform the original piece with the artist in a finale concert on the final night of the workshop. Students will also work closely with the drum and bass artists associated with each event, providing them with a well-rounded musical experience.
