Gallery: 2013 L.A. Amp Show

A look at some of the hottest new boutique guitars, amps, and pedals from the Oct. 5-6 show in Van Nuys, California.

EarthQuaker Devices brought three "mostly" new pedals to the L.A. Show: At left is a prototype bass overdrive whose release date is yet to be determined. The Zap Machine (middle) is a germanium-based, dual-channel distortion whose first channel has lighter drive, while the second is high-gain. Finally, the Sound Shank is a rerelease of an older EQD effect based on the Burns Buzzaround fuzz. The latter two pedals will be limited releases sold exclusively through online dealer Prymaxe Vintage.
