The Edge’s guitar playing blew our brains out. Besides that, here’s a glimpse of who played what on the farm, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Royal Blood, Kaleo, Umphrey’s McGee, and others in between.

U2 played Bonnaroo on June 9, 2017, which also marked Les Paul’s 102nd birthday. To celebrate his life and spirit, the Les Paul Foundation honored the Edge with the Les Paul Spirit Award in a private ceremony at Bonnaroo. “Les Paul is without doubt a man after my own heart,” the Edge said. “An innovator, an incredible inventor, an original … he had a spirit of inquisitiveness and he was always after that sound that had never been heard before.”

He added: “I owe a great debt of gratitude, not only for the contributions made to music but in terms of his contributions to the technology. I use guitars that Les pioneered and designed. I use effects that he invented.”
