Koll Guitar Company Super Cub

Saul Koll also brought his new Super Cub line to Winter NAMM. And this tastefully relic'd turquoise specimen was the pick of the bunch in our humble opinion. The Curtis Novak Guyatone replica pickups sound killer. But the guitar is an absolute joy to play. It's light, slim, and the neck with Jescar 5590 frets is to die for. Imagine a kind of ideal world between a mid '60s Epiphone Coronet, a Melody Maker SG, and a slim-necked Fender from the same period and you get the idea of how this guitar feels in hand. Koll offers scads of pickup and vibrato options too--most around the low 2K zone, a fair price for this kind of craft.
