In this segment we get to check out Joe Knaggs (formerly of PRS Guitars) new line of guitars. The Knaggs Guitars lineup of models includes the Kenai, Patuxant, Choptank, Severn, Sheyenne, Keya and the Choptank bass. All the models (excluding the Choptank bass) are built upon a three-layer tier system providing guitarists a plethora of options, including types of tonewoods, inlay designs, inlay materials, purfling and pickup choices to make sure every choice or preference is covered within the realm of Knaggs Guitars.

Playing a melody or solo with a “drone” means playing over just one note or, in some instances, one chord. Besides playing without any harmonic accompaniment, it is about as simple a concept as one can image, which also means the possibilities are endless. We’ll look at ways to use drones in a variety of contexts, from ancient to contemporary, blues to metal, traditional to experimental.
