John Myung has seven basses on the road and uses various tunings. His main instrument, in standard, is this double-humbucker custom-build that’s evolved into a prototype for a 2020 signature model release. He’s been using the instrument for four years and is super satisfied. It’s a 6-string bass with 5-string neck, which Myung describes as “just the right fusion of elements for me.” It has, in his words, “the classic Music Man sound.”

Zach loves his Sovtek Mig 60 head, which he plays through a cab he built himself at a pipe-organ shop in Denver. Every glue joint is lined with thin leather for maximum air tightness, and it’s stocked with Celestion G12M Greenback speakers.
