Veteran Rundgren low-end stalwart Kasim Sulton has his own signature 4-string with Archer, but this run of shows requires a 5th string. Now he’s used Spector 5-strings for countless shows, but the length of these gigs exceeds two hours and Kasim’s back was not onboard with the marathon jam session. So, he went searching for a lighter 5-string that still provided the beef he needed for the 4-piece configuration in Rundgren’s current band. The problem was solved while on the 2017 White Knight tour when he met this Ibanez SR675SKF at a nearby Guitar Center. The bass and its Bartolini electronics are all stock and he uses a DR Strings .055–.135 set.

Zach loves his Sovtek Mig 60 head, which he plays through a cab he built himself at a pipe-organ shop in Denver. Every glue joint is lined with thin leather for maximum air tightness, and it’s stocked with Celestion G12M Greenback speakers.
