GuitarFetish Introduces Earl Slick's Slickstraps

Slickstraps are all designed by Earl Slick in his New York studio.

Westborough, MA (March 24, 2011) -- is proud to introduce Slickstraps, a line of Leather Guitar Straps designed by legendary guitarist Earl Slick.

Slickstraps are all designed by Earl Slick in his New York studio. With designs ranging from skulls and pirates to crosses and daggers, Slickstraps are truly ready to rock.

Each Slickstrap begins with a 5mm thick hunk of top grain leather. The tanned strap is then hand painted in one of several base coats, then the Slick-Designed artwork is applied by hand. The strap is then subject to a lengthy “aging” process to give it road-worn look.

To accommodate Slick’s own personal style, each Slickstrap is extra-long, and may be adjusted for any player’s style.

Earl Slick is currently in the midst of a world tour with The New York Dolls, and is using Slickstraps exclusively. Earl Slick’s career spans three decades, and includes prominent roles as guitarist for David Bowie and John Lennon, as well as his own project, Phantom Rocker and Slick.

Slickstraps are sold exclusively at starting at $29.95.
