Quilter Labs, the amplifier and effects brand founded by Patrick Quilter (the "Q" in QSC Audio), has launched Elevate AI, a free browser-based artificial intelligence tone engine for the Quilter Elevate multi-effects pedal. Elevate AI allows players to describe the tone they want in natural language — a song, a guitarist, a genre, a mood — and receive a fully configured preset across all 14 effects blocks in as little as 15 seconds. The AI functionality is free for every Quilter Elevate pedal owner.
With this launch, the Elevate becomes the only multi-effects pedal on the market that comes with a free AI tone engine. Elevate AI is available immediately to all Elevate owners at no additional cost, requires no app download, and runs in any modern web browser via USB connection to the pedal.
"Every multi-effects pedal on the market asks players to learn its interface before they can make music," said Chris Parks, CEO of Quilter Labs. "Elevate AI flips that. You describe what you hear in your head — 'give me Hendrix at Woodstock with less fuzz and more reverb' — and the AI does the parameter work across all 14 blocks. You just play."

Players connect the Elevate pedal to any computer via USB and open Elevate AI in their browser. They type a description of the tone they want — as simple as "warm Fender cleans with tape echo" or as specific as "Eric Johnson’s lead tone on Cliffs of Dover." The AI researches the tone, analyzes the playing style, selects an amp voicing, and configures all 14 effects parameters. The finished preset is easily sent directly to the pedal and easily stored in the cloud from a Google Chrome browser.
Elevate AI is not a preset library. It generates unique presets on demand based on each request. Players can refine results using natural language — "more gain," "cut the highs," "make it spacier" — and the AI adjusts accordingly. Over time, the system learns each player's preferences, producing increasingly personalized results.

The Elevate's 14 effects blocks — from compression and gain to modulation, delay, reverb, and cab simulation — were designed by Brian Neunaber, whose algorithms power the celebrated Wet Reverb, Immerse Reverberator, and Illumine pedals used by artists including John Mayer and Joe Satriani. Elevate AI generates presets on top of this effects engine, ensuring that every AI-built tone meets a professional quality standard.
Elevate AI includes cloud backup for every preset and a global community platform where players can browse, rate, and share tones. The community system transforms the Elevate from a standalone pedal into a connected platform with an ever-growing library of user-generated content — all accessible from the browser.
