Rocky Point, NC (April 4, 2010) -- Port City Amps has released the Pearl, designed to provide a pure, rich dynamic clean tone to lay the foundation for using overdrive pedals. The amp boasts simplicity and a small footprint -- 16 7/8" W x 8 ¾" T x 7" D -- and pairs perfectly with the Port City 1x12 and 1x12 OS Wave cabinets.


The Port City Pearl features:
• Volume, treble, middle and bass controls
• Bright switch
• 2 - 6L6 power tubes (Tube Amp Doctor small bottle)
• 3 – JJ preamp tubes
• 50 watts
• Silicon diode rectifier
• Optional tube buffered effects loop ($100)
• Retail price $1425 (add $75 for custom color Tolex)

The Port City Pearl is handmade in North Carolina using only high quality components such as Mojo Dijon capacitors, carbon composition resistors, custom USA made transformers, PVC coated copper wire and Switchcraft jacks. The Pearl head enclosure is crafted from ¼" inch finger jointed solid pine.
