Godin G-Tour Nylon Acoustic-electric Guitar - Matte Black
Imagine a nylon string guitar that delivers a rich plugged in sound – and fits right in with any rack of electric guitars – that’s the new Godin G-Tour Nylon! For players looking for a nylon string sound, but who are more comfortable with an electric guitar feel, the Godin G-Tour can revolutionize their guitar lineup. Equally compact, distinct, and comfortable, this hollow-body guitar features EPM Q-Discrete electronics, with volume and tone knobs that encourage players to “plug in”, and turn it up! The G-Tour’s chambered Silver-Leaf Maple Body, Solid Cedar Top and unique fan-bracing design ensures excellent sound projection and rich nylon-stringed tone. The Hard Rock Maple neck features a Rosewood Fingerboard with a 1.65” nut-width, providing the comfortable feel of an electric guitar, and makes on-stage transitions a breeze! The combination of carefully selected tone-woods and its unique body profile, give the G-Tour plenty of acoustic headroom with minimal feedback.
Proudly made in Canada, the Godin G-Tour is an original nylon string guitar that will easily find a place in any musician’s arsenal.
We've taken everything we've learned from years of making the Hybrid Nylon and steel string guitars and created a Nylon string guitar for electric guitar players, or anyone wanting a more ergonomic nylon string guitar.
The custom voiced EPM system is extremely versatile. There are plenty of nuances in the volume and tone control and it's worth exploring. For example, setting the volume at about 8 and rolling the tone back to about 9 smoothens out the edges and gives you a warmer fatter more "classic" tone. If you need more attack, especially if you play fingerstyle. You can get some edge by setting the volume to 10 and dialing in the tone which can add a nice sheen to the tone.
Well balanced and a super easy to play neck with a double function truss rod so you can dial it in exactly as you like it. The 25.5 inch scales gives you the extra tension that is needed on a nylon string.
Custom tuners for smooth and accurate nylon string tuning.
