A new line of short-scale singlecut models that come in at under $800.
Montreal, QC (March 16, 2020) -- Godin Guitars is proud to announce the launch of a new breed of single-cut guitars to its successful Godin lineup, which combines all the best elements of the Godin Radiator and Stadium into one: The Radium!
This new model offers some unique features compared to the more traditional single cutaway solid-bodies, such as a short-scale (24 3/4") set-neck with a 3&3 headstock design for comfortable playing and bending. The Radium also comes equipped with a re-invented, vintage-style control plate, which presents a Volume, a Push-pull tone, and an angled Super 5-way switch that follows the natural sweep of your right hand for easy pickup selection.
The Radium comes in two finish options: Winchester Brown and Carbon Black—each with distinct build features.
Winchester Brown:
This model’s body is made up of a Mahogany Center with Canadian Laurentian Basswood wings, and it is connected to a Mahogany Set-Neck. The guitar is voiced with Custom Godin Nickel-Covered Humbuckers for vintage tones, which are complemented by a Godin Custom Cajun Nickel Single Coil in the middle.
Carbon Black:
In contrast to the Winchester Brown, the Carbon Black has a Canadian Laurentian Basswood body with a Silver Leaf Maple Set-Neck. It is equipped with Custom Godin Zebra Humbuckers for intense tones, but also includes the Godin Custom Cajun Nickel Single Coil in the middle like its counterpart.
Both Radium models have an eye-catching finish, worthy of a classic/aged vintage guitar.
Model info:
- Godin Radium Winchester Brown ($799.00 USD MAP price)
- Godin Radium Carbon Black ($749.00 USD MAP price)
