Maton Guitars - 808 Tommy Emmanuel, BB1200, MS500

PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Frankfurt, Germany, for the Musikmesse 2010 show where he visits the Maton Guitars booth. In this segment, we get to see what is new for Maton as they show us their 808TE Tommy Emmanuel Signature model, the 425/12-string model, the BB1200 and the MS500 50th Anniversary model. The 808TE features a Sitka spruce top, Queensland maple back, sides and neck and rosewood fretboard. Its onboard electronics include a piezo pickup and microphone that work together to produce electrified tones with the full ambiance of the acoustic guitar. The 425/12-String is made of Queensland walnut back and sides with a solid Sikta spruce top. It has a Queensland maple neck and is loaded with a AP5 pickup. The BB1200 has a solid blackwood back and sides, a set rock maple neck and rosewood fingerboard on a 25.5" scale. The 50th Anniversary Mastersound is a celebration of the original MS500, introduced in 1958. Not just another re-issue this guitar is a tribute to a timeless classic, reflecting the style and feel of the original but designed to fulfil the needs of todays guitarists. It features a silver silkwood body, Queensland maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Its loaded with MV coiltappable humbucker (bridge) and a MV singlecoil in the neck.
