Dream Studio Guitars Introduces the M5 Bass

A 5-string with two Seymour Duncan Alnico active humbuckers.

Apple Valley, CA (November 11, 2014) -- The M5 is a Maverick Bass in a 5-string model. Using the same sexy contours of the Maverick guitar, the M5 bass starts off as a solid piece of swamp ash that is whittled down to it's vintage offset shape, with generous belly cuts and forearm relief. Add in a hard maple 34"-scale neck that is bolted up to the M5 Body and you realize that you are getting a serious players' machine. The satin finish on the neck, the 21 jumbo frets; it is begging to lay down that back beat for you.

And routed in to that body are two Seymour Duncan Alnico Active humbuckers. The humbuckers give you the option of an active or passive tone. There are two volume controls, a balance knob, and a 3-band EQ control. All of this can be switched from active to passive via the flick of a switch on the pickguard. It is as veristile as it gets.

Just because she is pretty, doesn't mean that the M5 Bass is a wall hanger; she wants to get out to the clubs! Add in a Vintage Hipshot Bass Bridge to give the M5 Bass some stablity in the bottom end, combined with the vintage style tuners and you have a bass with classic good looks and all of that modern sound and feel.

MSRP: $1849
