Sioux Guitars Introduces the Needham and Raskin Amps

Both models are available as either a combo or head.

Sioux City, IA (February 5, 2016) -- Sioux Guitars is excited to announce the introduction of two new amps. They both feature our dirty preamp and the Needham uses a pair of KT-88s and the Raskin uses a pair of KT-66s. Like all of our amps they are point to point wired, built right here in Iowa and can be had as a head for $1,200, a 1-15” combo for $1,450, a 2-12” combo for $1,525, or a 4-10” combo for $1,600.

The Raskin
The Raskin is powered by two KT-66 tubes. Powered by a pair of KT-66's, the Sioux Raskin has a classic British rock tone. The Raskin has simple controls with a master volume, volume, bass and treble. Even with the British accent of the KT-66's it is voiced for all types of music. It cleans up nice with a sparkling clarity but barks with an nice bite and long sustain when you crank the master.

We sometimes get asked if we could do our amps in other colors. We could but why would you want that? Paul Stanley once said "all a guitar is, is a penis extension, so treat it like one." Rock-n-roll is full of peacockery, so in a world of black amps why not stand out with a red and white one? Stand at the edge of the stage, with your legs spread apart, chomping bubble gum, wink at the crowd and strum an open E while plugged into an amp that sounds as good as it looks, and you will understand the Sioux Guitars philosophy.

The Raskn amp is available as a head for $1,200. A 2-12" combo for $1,525. A 1-15" combo for $1,450. And a 4-10" combo for $1,600. Point to point wired. Hand built in Iowa, with Hammond transformers, Tung-Sol tubes, and imported Baltic birch plywood. All combo amps use Jensen speakers. All amps are built to order and lead time can be up to 8 weeks.
