Jackson Introduces New Mick Thomson Signature Soloist Models

The USA model sports a graphite reinforced through-body three-piece quartersawn maple neck, 12”-16” compound radius ebony fretboard with 24 jumbo frets, and a pair of Mick's signature Seymour Duncan Blackouts pickups.

Scottsdale, AZ (January 26, 2018) -- Jackson® is proud to announce the release of the USA Signature Mick Thomson Soloist™ and the Pro Series Signature Mick Thomson Soloist™ SL2.

One of metal’s most successful and revered players, Thomson’s game changing, take-no-prisoners approach to metal guitar has influenced countless musicians worldwide, while his black hole-heavy de-tuned guitar sound has been an integral part of Slipknot for more than two decades.

Jackson pays tribute to Thomson with brand new sinister axes made to match the guitarist’s fiendish disposition.

Capable of handling his acclaimed aggressive technique and tone, the USA Signature Mick Thomson Soloist™ is loaded with premium features including genuine mahogany body wings coupled with a graphite reinforced through-body three-piece quartersawn maple neck, 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, a pair of beastly sounding Mick Thomson signature Seymour Duncan® Blackouts pickups, single volume control and three-way blade switch, active electronics, Jackson MTB HT6 hardtail bridge, Schaller® locking strap buttons, recessed barrel jack, Jackson-branded sealed die cast tuners, and matching reverse pointed 6-in-line headstock. With classic style, the USA Signature Mick Thomson Soloist™ is available in either Arctic White with black binding or in Black with white binding and comes with a SKB® hardshell case.

Similar to the USA model, the Pro Series Signature Mick Thomson Soloist™ SL2 comes in the same Arctic White and Black finishes with binding and also features his signature Seymour Duncan® Blackouts pickups and the MTB HT6 hardtail bridge. The Pro SL2 has a mahogany body and a graphite reinforced through-body one-piece maple neck with a 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard featuring 24 jumbo frets and block side dots. Other features include a single volume control, three-way blade switch, recessed barrel jack, Jackson-branded sealed die-cast tuners, standard strap buttons, and matching Jackson reverse pointed 6-in-line headstock.

Jackson is hosting an autograph session with Thomson on Saturday at 4PM PST at the 2018 NAMM Show in Anaheim, Cali., outside the Jackson booth (Room 304).
