Chicago Music Exchange Collaborates with Gibson for Exclusive SG Standards
The limited run centers around the reborn T-Top humbuckers produced in the late '60s through the late '70s.
Chicago, IL (January 3, 2019) -- Chicago Music Exchange is proud to offer the first-ever replication of the T-Top humbucker, a legendary component of many Gibson electric guitars produced from 1968 through the late 1970s, billed on these exclusive SG Standards as the “T-Type.” CME’s Dan Bordonaro and Joel Bauman worked closely with Gibson USA’s master luthier Jim DeCola to conceive this custom run, available only at Chicago Music Exchange.
T-Type humbucking pickups are designed for consistency, clarity, and note definition. They offer brilliant chime without sacrificing low-end and clean up beautifully with a turn of the volume knob for incredible dynamic range and purity of tone thanks to replica specs like:
