Nashville, TN (April 15, 2013) -- Bitchstraps, Nashville’s original guitar strap company has just released its latest innovation: the Wireless Holster. With working musicians in mind Bitchstraps has created another piece that is both functional and attractive. The new Wireless Holster can be used both on the guitar strap or the belt.
After being asked by the Australian group The McClymonts to create pouches for their wireless units, designer Jeff Bell spent many hours at the work bench combining form with function to give the performers a solution to a long-standing problem: how to attach the wireless unit to the guitar strap (without the unsightly use of duct tape).
The unique design emerged which Mr. Bell refers to as the wireless ‘panties’ because the design is similar to the look of ladies underwear. The multiple openings in the holster’s design allow for the wireless unit to be carried upright or upside-down enabling the antenna or cables to extend above or below the holster. The small attachment strap sits securely just above the ‘D-rings’ on BitchStraps proprietary adjustment, removing the need for duct tape, without compromising the adjustability. The small strap can also be removed to allow the Wireless Holster to be worn on the belt if desired.
The Wireless Holster is just the latest in a long line of innovative straps and holsters designed with working musicians in mind. It follows the design of previous holsters like the Capo Holster and Slide/Harmonica Holster that also attach to the guitar strap to keep the musician’s tools readily available, much like a tool belt. Similar items have been created for drummers, the Hi- Hat Holster, and for road crew, the Road Pocket.
