Dream Studio Guitars Introduces the VooDoo Model

The VooDoo is loaded with a single Seymour Duncan Blackout pickup in the bridge position.

Apple Valley, CA (January 20, 2014) -- The new Kid on the Block, Dream Studio Guitars is looking to make a BIG noise with their release of the new Eddie Casillas “VooDoo” signature model. Based upon our Dream Studios “Twang” Model, the “VooDoo” let’s the “Darker Side” of the “Twang” show through.

Starting with the same carved , offset, 1 pc Swamp Ash Body, and Bolt On Maple Neck as the Twang, the “VooDoo” starts to show her own style and dark side when you look at the electronics and hardware. With a single Seymour Duncan Active Black out in the Bridge position, you know this is a guitar that likes to get down. Add in a Tune O’ Matic Adjustable Bridge, with a Stop bar, some locking Schaller type tuners, and a real 42mm bone nut and you know that she is serious.

The “VooDoo’s” Satin Finished Maple Neck, is a 25.5” Scale 21 fret beauty, it is topped with a Hard Maple Fretboard with a 350mm radius and showcases a “VooDoo Glow Skulls” logo on the 12th fret to compliment the Ebony Dot inlays. And it’s bound sides just cap off the look and the feel, you know this is a ready to rock touring machine the moment you pick it up.

The Dream Studios “VooDoo” is available in Matte Monster Green with Black Pickguard and Hardware or Matte Black with Black Pickguard and Hardware.

The folk-rock outfit’s frontman Taylor Goldsmith wrote their debut at 23. Now, with the release of their ninth full-length, Oh Brother, he shares his many insights into how he’s grown as a songwriter, and what that says about him as an artist and an individual.

I’ve been following the songwriting of Taylor Goldsmith, the frontman of L.A.-based, folk-rock band Dawes, since early 2011. At the time, I was a sophomore in college, and had just discovered their debut, North Hills, a year-and-a-half late. (That was thanks in part to one of its tracks, “When My Time Comes,” pervading cable TV via its placement in a Chevy commercial over my winter break.) As I caught on, I became fully entranced.
