Fernandes Announces Tony Campos Signature Tremor 5 Bass

Designed for Static X founding member, Asesino frontman, and Prong and Ministry bassist Tony Campos to match his power, bass growl, and stage character.

North Hollywood, CA (March 3, 2011) -- Fernandes has announced the Tony Campos Signature Tremor 5 bass. Designed for Static X founding member, Asesino frontman, and Prong and Ministry bassist Tony Campos to match his power, bass growl, and stage character.

Boasting a Fernandes trademark design and the expertise of a true metal icon, the new version released at 2011 NAMM show features Maldito X logo inlay in the 12th fret, 5-string configuration, Alder body, Maple neck, 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard, a pair of EMG Hz humbuckers, one volume, one tone, pickup blend control, and an eye-catching Lava Burst finish.

Campos tested the prototypes in development on tour for a year. The longtime Fernandes user said of the basses, "I've been using the Tremor for about 10 years. It's a solid bass, I can beat the snot out of it, it always sounds and plays great, and it looks like it'll kick your ass."

The Tony Campos Signature Tremor 5 will be in stores summer 2011.

It doesn’t have to cost a lot to change your acoustic guitar’s tone and playability.

In my early days, all the guitars I played (which all happened to be pre-1950s) used bone nuts and saddles. I took this for granted, and so did my musician friends. With the exception of the ebony nuts on some turn-of-the-century parlors and the occasional use of ivory, the use of bone was a simple fact of our guitar playing lives, and alternative materials were simply uncommon to us.
