"Cardinal Instruments brought three instruments to the show this yearяthe Magpie, the Zenith, and the West. The Magpie has a one-piece maple body capped with a distressed and patinaed-copper veneer, padauk neck with a large C-shape curve, cocobolo fretboard, and is loaded with Lollar Supro-style lap steel pickup. The Zenith features a book-matched and quilted pomelle-sapele top, Honduran mahogany back, medium C-shaped pau ferro neck, and comes equipped with Cardinal humbuckers and T-neck pickups. The West has a figured Texas walnut top, chambered mesquite back, C-shaped Texas walnut neck, Texas ebony fretboard, and custom-wound Cardinal single-coils."
