The latest boutique amps, guitars, and pedals on display at the annual Van Nuys gear gathering.
"At the Kauer booth, luthier Doug Kauer showed off the vast possibilities one can dream up for his Daylighter line of guitars [check out www.kauerguitars.com to use their brand-new virtual builder]. The grey Express model (left) features three custom-wound Wolfetone K-90sяKauer collaborated with pickup manufacturer Wolfe Macleod to create a slightly underwound P-90яand a Spanish cedar body and neck. This model has a Hipshot Countour tremolo bridge, the first trem ever installed on a Daylighter Express. The Daylighter Jr model guitar (center) has a sunset metallic-orange finish and is loaded with a single Wolfetone humbucker. And Kauerуs standard Express (right) has a Spanish cedar body and neck, two Wolfetone humbuckers, and a TonePro vintage-style, wraparound bridge."
