Rig Rundown: Mutemath

Nashville’s electronica alt-rock quartet explains how they cover guitar and bass needs with three instruments, one amp, and lots of pedals.

Keeping in line with his bandmate Roy, Todd brings a lot of JHS stomps on the road with him including a Banana Boost, Pulp ’N Peel Compressor, Muffuletta Fuzz, Double Barrel 2-in-1 Dual Overdrive, and The AT (Andy Timmons) Signature Overdrive. Other pedals on his board are a MXR Carbon Copy Delay, an Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb, a Boss PS-5 Super Shifter, a TC Electronic PolyTune, an Aguilar Filter Twin and two effects in custom JHS enclosures—an Ibanez ToneLok DE7 Delay/Echo (blue cat box) and a Boss DD-5 Digital Delay (gold Big Lebowski box). And lastly, zip-tied to the top of his board is a Boss TR-2 Tremolo that has the JHS “Versa Trem” mod.
