Ibanez Fortifies Iron Label Line with S Series Models

Ibanez Fortifies Iron Label Line with S Series Models

Ibanez expands with two new 6-string guitars and one new 7-string model.

Bensalem, PA (July 15, 2016) -- As the popularity of the “made-for- metal” Iron Label series continues to grow, Ibanez expands the line with two new 6-string guitars and one new 7-string S Series model. These SIX6 and SIX7 guitars blend the iconic S Series body with the Iron Label design aesthetic—metal-and-nothing-but-metal focused instruments outfitted to inspire the deft skills of the metal shredder. The first thing that will catch the eye are the reverse headstocks–answering the call of numerous Ibanez fans.

The SIX6FDFMBCB begins with a mahogany body sporting a flamed maple top treated with a “Blue Space Burst” – the maple/mahogany combination contributing to a balanced tone with a handsome, earthy complexion. Working from the philosophy that player comfort translates into speed, the ever reliable, super-fast, 3-pc Maple/Bubinga Nitro Wizard neck features a bound Ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets that both enhance playing speed and offer optimal articulation. This hardtail model boasts Gotoh locking tuners, considered by many players to be the finest in intonation assurance. And designed specifically for Iron Label, DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups offer a variety of overdriven textures—a variety further enhanced by a conveniently located coil-tap twitch.

The SIX6FMDCB with “Dark Space Burst” finish is similarly appointed, but features the reliable Edge Zero II bridge, with its trusty locking system, is ready to soar, aptly handling every swoop, shimmy and dive before returning to earth, solidly in tune.

Also sporting the “Dark Space Burst” finish is the SIX7FDFMDCB, a hardtail 7-string that proudly carries forth the Ibanez reputation for 7-string mastery.

With the purposefully Spartan “made-for- metal” Iron Label, you won’t find a feature here that doesn’t contribute directly to waking the dead.

Maybe every guitarist’s first pedal should be a looper. There are few more engaging ways to learn than playing along to your own ideas—or programmed rhythms, for that matter, which are a component of the new DigiTech JamMan Solo HD’s makeup. Beyond practicing, though, the Solo HD facilitates creation and fuels the rush that comes from instant composition and arrangement or jamming with a very like-minded partner in a two-man band.
