J. Rockett Audio Designs Introduces the Mark Lettieri Signature Melody Overdrive

The collaboration resulted in a six-band EQ that incorporates elements of the company's Dude, Blue Note, and Majestic pedals.

Nashville, TN (February 26, 2018) -- J Rockett Audio Designs, after much anticipation, has released the Mark Lettieri signature Melody EQ/Overdrive into their Q Series Line.

ā€œItā€™s the most flexible overdrive I have ever playedā€ says Mark Lettieri, Snarky Puppy guitarist, session player, composer, and arranger. Mark needed a pedal as versatile as his playing dictates. Mark was in need of an overdrive that could cater to blues, rock, R&B, jazz, gospel and even heavy gain styles. Mark and J Rockett worked together to create a circuit that allows limitless tonal variations with a simple and intuitive design.

While sharing traits of the J Rockett Majestic, Blue Note and Dude, the Melody features consist of the following:

  • 6 band graphic EQ allows for very ā€œtweakableā€ voicings ranging from 100hz - 3.2K
  • Warm and expressive feel no matter the settings
  • Huge gain range able to handle every style from RnB to heavier rock tones
  • Top mounted jacks and power input for better pedal board spacing
  • ā€œSpeed Switchā€ replaceable footswitch for instant no solder, no wire, repairs on the fly

The Melody EQ/OD is available now for $199. Available for online purchase and/or from any of our dealers.

Gibson originally launched the EB-6 model with the intention of serving consumers looking for a ā€œtic-tacā€ bass sound.

You may know the Gibson EB-6, but what you may not know is that its first iteration looked nothing like its latest.

When many guitarists first encounter Gibsonā€™s EB-6, a rare, vintage 6-string bass, they assume it must be a response to the Fender Bass VI. And manyEB-6 basses sport an SG-style body shape, so they do look exceedingly modern. (Itā€™s easy to imagine a stoner-rock or doom-metal band keeping one amid an arsenal of Dunables and EGCs.) But the earliest EB-6 basses didnā€™t look anything like SGs, and they arrived a full year before the more famous Fender.
