The Hybrid series of cabinet offers a combination of tolex and exquisite tonewoods.

Throggs Neck, NY (September 15, 2014) -- KW Cabs is pleased to announce the new WA-1 as the latest addition to their extensive line of boutique guitar and bass speaker cabinets. The WA-1 is the newest member of the growing Working Artist series which features a more traditional and rugged Tolex look but many of the trademark KW Cabs features.

The WA-1 is a powerhouse of tone in a small lightweight package. Still ported for tremendous bass response the design is a completely new size for KW Cabs. At only about 25lbs and small footprint of 19x15x11, the WA-1 is extremely portable and road worthy.

KW Cabs is pleased to announce their new Hybrid Series speakers cabinets as the latest addition to their extensive line of boutique guitar and bass speaker cabinets. The Hybrid (HB) series of cabinet offers the “best of both worlds” combination of tolex and exquisite tonewoods in a cabinet that not only sounds incredible but looks gorgeous and is rugged for the road.

The Hybrid Series cabinets follow largely on the “Working Artist” line of rugged tolex cabinets design, but add a beautiful refined look with more complex tone due to the materials and features borrowed from the Standard Line. It is aimed at the player who wishes to have a superior sounding and looking cabinet but that can still handle all of the wears of the road without worry.

The folk-rock outfit’s frontman Taylor Goldsmith wrote their debut at 23. Now, with the release of their ninth full-length, Oh Brother, he shares his many insights into how he’s grown as a songwriter, and what that says about him as an artist and an individual.

I’ve been following the songwriting of Taylor Goldsmith, the frontman of L.A.-based, folk-rock band Dawes, since early 2011. At the time, I was a sophomore in college, and had just discovered their debut, North Hills, a year-and-a-half late. (That was thanks in part to one of its tracks, “When My Time Comes,” pervading cable TV via its placement in a Chevy commercial over my winter break.) As I caught on, I became fully entranced.
