On-Stage Debuts Compact DB200 Mini DI Box

The box transfers any high-impedance 1/4" source into a low-impedance (XLR) signal.

Berlin, CT (May 31, 2019) -- — On-Stage, a division of The Music People, has released the new DB200 Mini DI Box. The new compact direct box transfers any high-impedance 1/4" source into a low-impedance (XLR) signal ready to be sent to a mixing board or recording console.

The Mini DI box is perfect for guitars, keyboards and bass, and thanks to its compact size, makes for a perfect fit on pedalboards and includes a hook and loop. The new DB200 also features a ± 20dB pad, a cabinet simulator and ground lift controls to eliminate hum caused by ground loops.

“Compact and portable, our new DB200 offers performing players the perfect DI solution in an all-metal construction that will perform gig after gig,” said Christopher Roberts, Product Line Manager for On-Stage.

Specs include:

  • Input Impedance: 1M Ohms
  • Output Impedance: 1K Ohms
  • Current Draw: 12mA
  • Power Supply: 9V DC, center negative (not included)

Luthier Maegen Wells recalls the moment she fell in love with the archtop and how it changed her world.

But one can only hear the question, “Why do you want to build jazz guitars if you don’t play jazz?” so many times before starting to wonder what the hell everyone’s talking about.

After many decades of sticking with flagship body shapes, Fender spent the last several years getting more playful via their Parallel Universe collection. The Meteora, however, is one of the more significant departures from those vintage profiles. The offset, more-angular profile was created by Fender designer Josh Hurst and first saw light of day as part of the Parallel Universe Collection in 2018. Since then, it has headed in both upscale and affordable directions within the Fender lineup—reaching the heights of master-built Custom Shop quality in the hands of Ron Thorn, and now in this much more egalitarian guise as the Player Plus Meteora HH.
